Macquarie Medical Imaging is looking for enthusiastic and patient-focused individuals to join our growing administration team. With multiple permanent, full-time positions available, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a rewarding career in healthcare administration within Australia's only fully integrated academic health sciences centre.

You will be part of a welcoming, fast-paced team that plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience and supporting our Radiology clinicians to run an efficient, professional practice. From managing bookings and liaising with patients to front-of-house reception duties, you will gain broad exposure across a variety of administrative functions, keeping your work engaging and varied every day.

You will begin your journey in our bookings team, where you will receive dedicated on-the-job training from experienced Senior Medical Imaging Administrators. As your skills and confidence grow, you will progress into receptionist duties and further areas of the service, building a diverse and transferable skill set along the way.

About the Role

These are full-time, permanent positions working 38 hours per week. You will initially work standard hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Once training is complete and you are confident in the role, rotating shifts will be offered within Macquarie Medical Imaging's operating hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting patients in person, over the phone and via email with a warm and professional approach
  • Managing and coordinating patient appointments in line with medical imaging scheduling requirements
  • Ensuring accurate data entry of patient information into the patient management system
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with administrative colleagues, clinicians and other health professionals
  • Attending to general housekeeping duties in reception and waiting areas, along with other administrative tasks as required
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy of all patient information and records
  • Contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment that prioritises patient-centred care

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative, reception or customer service role, ideally within a healthcare or medical imaging setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a warm, patient-centred approach
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with data entry and patient information management
  • Ability to work confidently across multiple systems and screens in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven capacity to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service
  • Commitment to confidentiality, privacy and ethical conduct in handling sensitive information
  • A collaborative team player who is reliable, adaptable and committed to full-time hours
